Since the 6th of July 2020, the Electroplast team based in Meyrin has taken possession of a brand new shop and offices. About fifty meters from the former offices on rue des Léchères, the 1500m2 self-service shop is now located at Rue de la Bergère 3.
The opening took place naturally with a certain delay in view of the situation related to Covid-19, which had particularly paralysed the various building sites throughout the canton of Geneva. The traditional "Event" organised by Electroplast over the last twelve years has not taken place either. "We would have liked to link the two events, the 2020 "Event" and the opening of the Meyrin shop at the Atrium. Of course, we are looking to the future, and there will be more opportunities to bring our customers together around an event as unifying as the formula of L'Event knows how to offer" says Daniel Tavernier, Director of Electroplast. He also adds that "with this self-service concept, already implemented in Carouge in 2012, Electroplast is giving Sonepar a new positioning in the canton of Geneva and is fully in line with the group's strategy in Switzerland".
The shop offers a wide range of products: market highlights, a selection for industry, as well as equipment for lighting technology and renewable energies. "The Smart Home and photovoltaic products are presented on a mobile part. This means that it can be displayed in a shop or taken along for training or other purposes," explains Project Manager Gerhard Gasser. "The new shop is a great success. Our customers were positively surprised by the surface area and the clear and structured presentation of the products. In view of the challenges we faced, we are proud of our work! The customers are satisfied, and the employees greatly appreciate their new workplace, so our mission is more than fulfilled! ».
